Dividend Income

If you wish to view any of my past monthly updates you can find them here.

So last month I reported on the news that my largest dividend position raised its dividend over 600%.  What I didn't expect was that the dividend would show up on the last day of March.  For now my graphs below are going to be very skewed because of how much I took in last month.   For some reason I can't figure out how to adjust google charts to show in logarithmic.  I guess his is a good problem to have.  :)

Looking at things in more detail, my monthly income was 650% higher than the same month a year ago and up 182% over last quarter.  I took in a whopping $4028 for the month of March.  My portfolio value increased from $375,480 to $382,157 which also includes my contributions of $7354.

Current Stats
  • 12 Month Income = $12409
  • Total 12 Month Future Dividends = $15556

Each of the dips on the red curve are months in which I received dividend cut from one or more of my positions.

Monthly Capital Contribution

Below you can view the total dollar contributions made to my Dividend Portfolio since inception along with the 12 month total in red.  Currently my 12 month capital contribution total is coming in at $80,564.  Going forward I would like to contribute at least $70,000 a year to my dividend portfolio and as of the last 12 months I seem to be crushing that number since I am currently closer to $80,000.  In the month of March I added $7354 in new funds to the portfolio.

Since I tend to take profits more often than the typical buy and hold dividend investor, my Cost Basis and Portfolio Value ratio are not an accurate reflection of my overall profits within the portfolio.
